9.11.16 Part 2!!! Yellow Is the Colour!!!

Night of the 9.11.16

So I was a little quick to press the finish button and forgot to update what we actually did last night!

Early Start really at 7:05 pm. We have got the tub in now so it was all hands on deck watching my brother in law cut the tub out to get rid of an rot. Due to the nature of the design there are area's which do suffer. Underneath the Drivers seat is the petrol tank which sits in a trough (Note lack of car terminology, Father will be ashamed!!!) This was quickly R.I.P'd (the look on Dad's face was a picture as Si went at the old girl with a cutting blade on the angle grinder!!!

After that it was taking off the last remaining fittings then paint stripping. This revealed an array of different colours from Olive green, Yellow, Grey, Red oxide and Black in places. Lots of paint = tub in fairly good condition.

Here are a few snaps of last nights progress.

Before removal of parts. Fro reference when rebuilding.

As you can see lots of paint to get off. What started out as a project to get it running has now turned into a 1st rate finish. Back to bear metal it is then!!!!!
So a clod night but productive and warm by the end of the evening due to excessive scraping!!!!
