Date: Wed 13th & Fri 15th Jan
Don't you just love it when your at work grafting and your Dad sends you a lovely little email rubbing in the fact he is retired and has lots of free time to play! See below the email sent while Si and myself were at work!
With you and Si at work I sneeked in to the garage to tinker some more…...
Wed
Removed exhaust pipe (? 3 sections - ) and silencer….unfortunately bolt into manifold sheered despite being warmed up with gas torch.
During this realised that steel “transmission Shield” under gear box missing at purchase. The 1/32 scale model you bought me has one!
Also, on reading manual 9-1803B have noted that front springs are dissimilar so must not confuse when taken off! Left spring should be marked “L” on No 8 leaf.
Took up vac cleaner from my garage to clear up as we go. (Must make thin nozzle to get into tight corners.)
Friday.
Planned to work on removal of radiator but ran out of time as worked to improve electrics in garage.
- (Dutch) clothes drier tripod modified to carry 400w halogen light
- Additional strip light placed on ceiling beam above vehicle (great improvement)
- Additional double socket on R/H wall and damaged socket on back wall re-sited/replaced.
I dare say Simon didnt mind as you can now see the lights in the garage from Space!!!
