Tuesday Night Session

Date: 12th Jan 2016

On Tuesday we had 5 people so “Tub” was speedily removed (fixings removed previously). Then we spent rest of session gently removing dirt from exposed parts. Chassis seems good except at front and back ends. We uncovered gear box Manf. plate with unit number and date of 1942.
Also found chassis number on top surface drivers side IRO  front wheel.
Chassis bottom paint black (? at manufacture) then yellow ? and drab green.
Engine seems to have been painted Red at one time (? refurbished unit?)
Brought back to No22 several bits incl. 1943 jerry can to store at home.

It seems dad has alos been busy buying bits to stick on it all obviously around the 1942-3 mark.
Purchased 1X 2 gal UK fuel can dated 1942! (£10). Not sure if this was a good price but Dad seemed happy!!!!
